PENNY
Penny makes this edition of the Gallery Sessions a little magical with songs that are based on Hans Christian Andersen’s old fairy tales. They invite you to enter a world that is filled with strange creatures and mysteries. Penny brings this world to life with their music and takes you on a wonderful journey through this enchanted and playful fairytale world. Don’t be fooled though, darkness can hide there in unexpected places, too.

Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales often have a strong moral, which Penny combines with their own interpretation and creativity in their compositions. 

​They combine their ideas with the fairy tales and create new and original works. This performance takes you through this wonderful world of fairy tales and will leave you mesmerised.

Penny maakt deze editie van the Gallery Sessions een klein beetje magisch met liedjes die gebaseerd zijn op de sprookjes van Hans Cristian Andersen. Ze nodigen je uit om deel uit te maken van een wereld die vol zit met vreemde wezens en mysteries. Penny brengt deze wereld tot leven met hun muziek en neemt je mee op een wonderlijke reis door deze magische en speelse sprookjes wereld, waar ook het donker zich op onwaarschijnlijke plekken soms laat zien. 

De sprookjes van Hans Christian Andersen hebben vaak een sterke moraal, die Penny combineert met hun eigen interpretatie en creativiteit. Ze combineren hun ideeën met de sprookjes om nieuwe originele werken te creëren. De performance van Penny neemt je mee in deze opmerkelijke wereld vol sprookjes en laat je betoverd achter.

JARO

Jaro, aka Jaro Heijster, is a young musical all-rounder who gives a new impulse to the indie scene with his idiosyncratic compositions and atmospheric vocals.

​The Amsterdam-based producer is ready to take on the world with his hybrid mix of live and electronics. He has a distinct sound which remotely refers to acts like Tame Impala, Radiohead / Thom Yorke, Gorillaz or Groove Armada.

Jaro, aka Jaro Heijster, is een jonge muzikale allrounder die een nieuwe impuls geeft aan de indie scene met zijn authentieke composities en atmosferische stemgeluid. 

The Amsterdammer is klaar om de wereld te veroveren met zijn mix van live en electronics. Hij maakt een authentiek geluid, die je ook terugvindt in acts van o.a. Tame Impala, Radiohead / Thom Yorke, Gorillaz of Groove Armada.
